Seriuosly. What is wrong with people? My dh is on nightshift. He comes home says he was listening to local radio station on way home, and they announced an upcomming revival in town that will go for two weeks. There will be 8 different pastors from various states.
I just do not understand.
Are people thinking if they put thier heads in the sand, they won't have to deal with this?
The revival should be cancelled. Its asking for more trouble than we have already.
I am seriously looking for cheap property in the boonies.
Dang I ain't even going to wal mart, unless I call it in first.

You have to wonder if some people even care.....people partying on the beaches in Florida & Texas.....people were swarming the malls and shopping centers---but at least that stopped with stores temporarily closing....Here, the BIG GIVE is supposed to take place on March 26th and the non-profits usually have rallies which a lot of people attend to help spur contributions ..... I know the non-profits need funds....but this should be postponed too.....JMHO

@Spurt, I agree. I think everything should be cancelled or postponed if at all possible. I realize that people have to work, and all cannot work from home, however to stop the spread, folks need to stay at home as much as possible.
People do not seem to care that they could cause others to perish.

At least the sports leagues and colleges despite losing lots of money did the right thing by suspending or canceling sports play....

Where I live (NY) nobody is allowed to gather like that. I am surprised if it will happen, I would think the authorities would shut it down. Things are changing day by day. Some people are living in denial, such as those spring breakers. Perhaps all the alcohol and drugs have altered their ability to think rationally. Or they feel immortal.

There is a segment of our society who still think this is no worse than the flu.

@D Kay Unbelievable that people aren't taking this seriously. A high school friend (don't see her much as adult) keeps saying on FB that this is hype and we're trying to make the pres look bad. I shared with hubs and he said -- you're forgetting -- she's a princess. She doesn't know how to go with the flow or accept rational directions. Okay, that makes sense. Change and sacrifice are really difficult for some people.

When is the date for the revival? I did not see if it was just being advertised for a month or longer from now or if it is set for this weekend.

Have no fear....the DMV is still open and doing business! They will apparently be the last to go down. Pray you don't have to pay them a visit soon. Incredible! https://www.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/the-state-worker/article241305466.html
