Looking for College Graduation Gift Suggestions

I would appreciate suggestions for a college graduation gift.

In the particular case I'm fretting over is a young man, very close friends. It doesn't seem right to me not to give something, but my funds are quite limited. The young man's net worth is easily over $2 million, and his job prospects are high. His parents have already bought all the furniture for an apartment for him. These people are in a very different income class from me, yet they are close friends and I've been close to this young man since he was born.

The gift should be something meaningful, I believe, something memorable or inspirational. But I am completely stumped.
