</h6> Often people visiting the cemtery want to know about all the famous people buried in Oak Grove. There are big monuments to the mill barons, and of course everybody knows about the Bordens. They even have a series of arrows painted on the ground to help you find the Borden plot. There are politicians, artists, actors, servicemen, Civil War notables, and beloved city residents. The name of Lewis Latimer is largely unknown. He has been placed in the catagory of top ten African-American inventors in the country! This link will take you to an excellent biography of Dr. Latimer and his accomplishments. If you see a young student today- tell them about Dr. Latimer! His museum, which was a house where he once lived, has been moved from Flushing, N.Y. to Queens. He was born in Chelsea. Massachusetts.

Hi croemer, thanks for starting this thread. My better half and I plan on watching this movie, although we will DVR it so as to zoom through the commercials.
Thanks for the reminder.

This is a review of someone who stayed at the Borden B&B and how their night went:
I recently had the pleasure of staying overnight and being the ONLY guests in the house! Lee Ann gave us a key, showed us to our room, the Andrew Borden suite which included the stepmothers room and a private bathroom.
First thing we did after stashing our stuff and taking many pictures inside was to head over to the cemetery and visit the family plot. I felt a little guilty for not bringing some sort of tribute to the grave site but there's always next time!
We got back and waited for our night tour guide to arrive and give us the grand tour which was GREAT! I have a few books on the case but she told me some tidbits that i was unaware of AND we saw autopsy photos which I'd NEVER seen.. creepy...
We then headed over to the 99 restaurant for some grub and dessert to bring back and enjoy while we viewed "The Legend of Lizzie Borden" starring Elizabeth Montgomery! I hadn't seen this in probably 20 years or more. It was strange, being alone in the house, sitting in the parlor eating cheesecake and watching the movie.
Midnight struck and after contemplating which lights to leave on in the house, we headed upstairs and locked the three doors that led into our room and tried to sleep.
First there was a strange cold draft that kept me freezing and then within 30 minutes I was boiling. Marcel had the exact opposite of my problem. Weird. We kept hearing noises which were probably in our heads but strangely real.
We finally passed out about 4am and woke up at 6am - and waited until 8am to go downstairs and have a fabulous breakfast of johnnycakes and other assorted goodies.
We of course, visited the gift shop and bought several commemorative souvenirs.
I HIGHLY recommend visiting this B&B - the history of the town is also interesting as well..
Funnily enough, after viewing the photos when we returned back home to LA, we found a weird white splotch in one of the pictures taken outside the room Abby Borden was killed in... and i gotta tell you, there was NO glare - spooky...
GO LIZZIE!
