The "price match" for an "As Is" item doesn't work. I bought an "as is" item earlier this month and now it's $20 cheaper but can't take advantage. There's always a loophole.

So much fine print 🤣

@kaydee50 For sure, there's always fine print. The truth lies in the details, not the headlines. IMO, that's true for everythimg retail. national and local news, etc.
We who are the consumers of items and information have fewer choices than we wish we had.

@kaydee50 - They've been denying those price refunds for a long time now, despite the online written policy not matching what they say. (Notice that nowhere does it exclude As Is and the wording about "timeframe" is confusing as well. I once asked for a price difference during the Lunchtime Specials timeframe and was denied because it was "a Lunchtime Special"???)
There have been many other threads about this issue. Maybe time for some customers to write to the corporate office, since they did away with the feedback link. The online wording needs to match what CS tells us.
Here it is:
What is your price guarantee?
Our focus is always on our customers and sharing products brought to life through the power of storytelling via our distinctive video platforms and other touchpoints. No matter which way you choose to shop with us, QVC offers a price adjustment if we lower the price of your item and you contact us within 30 days of your order date, except as stated below.
A few things to know…
Current promotion code offers, final clearance pricing and/or shipping promotions cannot be applied to previous orders. Limited-Time special offers such as Today’s Special Values, Lunchtime Specials, etc. are valid only during the timeframe stated. If your item is featured as a limited-time special offer within 30 days of your order date, price matching for your item is available only while the limited-time special offer is in effect and is not available once the limited-time special offer has expired. We do not match prices being offered by other retailers; we only match QVC prices for the identical, in-stock item—identical in item number, brand name, size, weight, color, quantity, and model number. Price adjustments are not available on shipping and handling or tax.

Too bad the Federal Consumer Protection Bureau was eliminated a few years ago. It's mission was to protect consumers against practices like this.

I can honestly say I've never had a purchase come to life through the power of storytelling. Perhaps when they cut that flowery language bs cr#p and speak and present items directly they may attract more customers, or at least stop driving away the ones they have.
I think the catch is that As Is items are listed under a different item number from the original.

@DottieBlue, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has not been eliminated, but recently faced attempts to reduce its operations with the goal being to eliminate it.
A federal court has blocked efforts to dismantle the agency, so it remains operational for now.

@Etoile308 - Yes, As Is items are different numbers from the original.
But when you order an As Is item and it then drops in price, the number remains the same. They still deny the price difference refund, on the basis that As Is items are excluded under the policy.
But nowhere does it state that in writing. Someone in management just decided to change the "rules" without clarifying it, in black and white, for the customers. To me, that is unacceptable.
(I did write to CS about this a long time ago and was assured it would be forwarded to the "appropriate department". Nothing has changed.)

Probably still trying to figure out the 'appropriate department', as the corporate suits pass it around among them like a hot potato.

@kaydee50 @Venezia you can go online to BBB in West Chester, PA. And file a complaint. Mention there isn't anywhere you see where AS IS is excluded from price drop. QVC responds to all complaints through BBB. It may take time. I might be angry enough bout it to do it nd wait. Not care so much about the money as the principal every complaint at the BBB does get businesses attention they don't want to mess with their rating. It's a thought.
