UNDATED (WKRC/CNN Newsource) - The listeria outbreak tied to prepared pasta meals has expanded, with the FDA reporting two additional deaths and seven new illnesses.
In total, the outbreak across 18 states has sickened 27 people and caused six deaths and one fetal loss.
The recalled ready-to-eat pasta salads and prepared meals were supplied by Nate's Fine Foods and sold at major grocery chains nationwide, including Trader Joe's, Sprouts Farmers Market, Kroger and Walmart.
Listeria Symptoms:
Listeria is especially harmful to people aged 65 or older, women who are pregnant, or people with weakened immune systems. This is because Listeria is more likely to spread beyond their gut to other parts of their body, resulting in a severe condition known as invasive listeriosis..................

Do a search for listeria outbreak. There are several deaths reported. I had not seen news on this in my area.

That is horrible. Imagine, we live in America and have to worry about buying bad, dangerous food.
I don't buy processed foods, well, not often anyway, so That's one less thing I have to worry about.

Avoiding processed foods certainly will not guarantee protection from Listeria outbreaks.
It's also prevalent in fresh fruit and vegetables, in some cases even more dangerous and lethal. Your wholesome diet will not guarantee your safety and guardian shield.

Cases have been reported in 18 states: California, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington.

scary stuff ! I always wonder if frozen dinners/food is safe. Don't eat it often, prefer making meals from scratch. Veggies even after washing I wonder 🤔
