Beautiful service, i could hear Elivs singing HOW GREAT THOU ART, HE COULD SING THIS LIKE NO ONE ELSE.

And I could hear JD Sumner and the Stamps singing Sweet Sweet Spirit.

My favorite group.  J.D. and the Stamps had a Live Concert here after Elvis died. Seems like it was months after Elvis died. I enjoyed every minute of it and bought a little remembrance merchandise.

What a backup group for Elvis, and also "that little lady with the high voice", as Elvis called her. Kathy Westmoreland!

The Sweet Inspirations also began recording and touring with Elvis Presley as both background singers and his warm-up act,[2] as well as doing occasional live dates with Aretha Franklin.[3]

The association with Presley became well-publicized as he routinely introduced the Sweet Inspirations (along with the TCB Band members, the J. D. Sumner & Stamps Quartet, and Kathy Westmoreland) on his telecast concerts and live recordings.

The Sweet Inspirations worked with Presley until his death in 1977.

Did you ever listened to the song with Lisa Marie and Elvis Duet? Great listening for sure.

"Where No One Stands Alone".

Just now watched and listened to it on Utube through my surround sound system. Gave me the chills!

If you got Utube it's worth a listen, especially today!

Well I don't know about the rest of you, but I cried through the whole thing.  If any of you missed it many channels on You Tube have it and you can still watch it.

Re: Lisa Marie Memorial Service

Was surprised to learn her daughter Riley has a daughter--born sometime last year. Only finding out from her husband's speech today.

I'm sure he was, especially for support for Riley.  I think Lisa Marie was at his house when she was stricken.  I believe he gave her CPR until help arrived.  I could be wrong, that is something I read in the very beginning.

From what I understand, she couldn't live in the house that their son committed suicide in, so Lisa moved in with him.

Again, I could be wrong.

No, I have never been to Graceland. Never been a person that likes visiting history, of any type. Only go places to see hockey games, or years ago when I traveled all over, Racing Cars.  Just not a looker other than a hockey game at Madison Square Garden.
