Lion - Mad Men!

Hi Lion

well, I finished Mad Men - all the way thru season 5! Wow. What a great series.

Do you think that Don is going back to his wicked ways, now that his wife is being more assertive in her career? He just isn't satisfied, is he? I think he and Peggy should be together - she, I think , would know how to handle him.

Joan - I didn't like her that much in season 1, but I really like her now. She is a wonderful, sassy character.

Pete - still don't like him. He does have his moments, but overall, he is a slimy little climber.

I was shocked that Laine killed himself. And Don is holding back on the fact that he fired him - he doesn't seem to broken up over it - yes, I know, he gave back the $$ to his widow, but really, he just "moved" on.

I wasn't into the whole ex-wife storyline. Betty seems to be the classic unhappy housewife stereotype. Never happy.

BTW - your post on apologises - very wise indeed. Spot on. We aren't superficial...
