I love her song "Long, Long Time". This thread made me find it online and watch the video. Then it lead me to another ("Different Drum") and another....
You get the idea! ![]()

Like all of you, I have always loved her music and her voice. She's so beautiful to me, in every way.
I remember how sad I was, years ago, to learn of her diagnosis and inability to do what she loved and was so good at doing most of her life. ![]()
I don't know if I could even choose a favorite song. I have a huge double album of her 'best' on my iPods/iTunes and sometimes - that is the music that is what I want to hear and always will.

@Cakers3 wrote:@flickerbulb Yes, Linda has been dealing with Parkinson's for quite some time. She was one of my faves back in the day.
I first saw her when she had just left the Stone Ponys and was an opening act for Neil Young.
Wow - looking at all of the ones who have either passed or can not longer perform in recent years -Linda, Frey, Joe C*cker, etc.
And yet all the Stones "roll" on. LOL
@Cakers3 Just heard on the Classic Rock station that Ron Woods wife gave birth to twin girls. He's 57.

@mantaraye Might be a typo on your part but he is 69. Oy - amazing how some of these old time rockers manage to stay alive while others do not.

Linda was my one of my first singing "idols." I think I was in about 6th grade when she was at the top of her game.
I had about 4 or 5 of her albums, and I knew every song by heart! I still remember them when I hear them! She was my first live concert, too.
She is from Tucson, and I grew up in Az, so she was pretty popular there.
Her family is an old Arizona family.
She lives in San Francisco, but she kept a house in Tucson until recently. It was a beautiful house. I think she sold it a couple of years ago.
Very sad that she has Parkinson's.

At her apex she could sing 5 octaves. I have seen her in person and this was impressive.
I'm sorry that ill health has robbed her of her voice.

Also LOVED her. Listened to her in the car today. Why it took so long for her to be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, my husband and I can't figure out!!!! She was too sick to attend by then. ![]()
