I have loved Linda's voice since she was with the Stone Poneys. I saw her twice in concert: what a great singer!
I read her autobiography last year; it's a powerful read. I completely enjoyed her comments on other singers she met up with during that time.
I feel for her.

I remember when she was interviewed after getting the Parkinson's diagnosis and she said she could no longer sing.
She had an incredible voice - no lip-syncing or auto-tuning needed when she performed.
She was in a production of "The Pirates of Penzance" and was fabulous in that, too.

@insomniac2 - Thanks for the reminder of her book. I'll get it from the library to read!

Linda Rondstadt's mother is of mexican ancestry.
Viicki Carr came from both parents who were of mexican ancestry.
Linda Carter (the Wonder Woman) also had a mother who was of Mexican Ancestry.
Actually it is on her Fathers side. Her mother is European.
Interesting. During interviews Ms. Carter would reference to her mother of Mexican ancestry and how she loved her mother's cooking. Hmmmmmmm.

Her voice was magical in "The Pirates of Penzance." I treasure my memories of her performance.

Glorious, pitch perfect voice on that gal! I have several of her albums, including one in which she sings all the old 40s big band songs.
My favorites are "Blue Bayou" and "You're No Good." I'll probably play a CD or two today . . . you've got me all melancholy.

Ohhhh. I thought this was going to be bad news. Glad it's not.

I'm so sorry to hear this, I've always loved her music. Just the other day I heard the duet that she did with Aaron Neville, "I don't know much ". It's such a beautiful song.

I ❤️ that song! I also enjoy her version of "When You Wish Upon a Star."
