John Denver wrote such beautiful songs.  Leaving on a Jet Plane, Annie's Song, Sunshine, etc.  I read somewhere that Annie's Song is one of the most popular songs used for first dances at weddings.

leaving on a jet plane, although such a great song ,  used to make me cry when I heard it ,  my boyfriend, then husband left to serve oversees at that time .   It still makes me melancholy 😞.  

oh sung by Peter Paul and Mary .   I didn't even realize John Denver sang it or wrote it .  I love Sunshine on my shoulder by JD.
