Shawn is working from home due to possible Covid exposure and did some shows from her kitchen, which some posters complained about, so it looks like she moved to the closet.

@KingstonsMom  She did a show from her bathroom not her kitchen. That's why the complaints.

You're right, I don't know why I posted 'kitchen', too early at the time of my post I guess, not enough coffee, LOL!

Thanks for the correction, I'll edit my post.

 Agree , that Leah is very professional with her am  style  shows , but tonight I think she kicked off with a very nervous laugh . I don't know if  she was being told something by the Producer that  made her nervous or that she had to give so many details abt Shawn not being on.  I think she acted nervous .

@skatting44  while I think Leah is very classy and lovely, she always has that nervous laugh and stammering speaking style -- always.  It's a mater of degrees in whether it becomes unbearable for me.  Still, I prefer Leah over a lot of the other hosts.

I wish I would have known she was solo last night as well.  I would have watched and shopped.

I think Leah is one of the best hosts! I think what happens in those moments she's trying to talk to the viewers and the Producer is in her ear giving her instructions and she's trying to listen and do two things at once...I think other hosts just ignore the Producer and proceed on and then say on air--"missed that, what were you saying, or "what's that again..." ..."how many?"(which is annoying to me) Leah's too polite, the Producer needs to wait for the right moment to give instructions .....Some of these Producers make me SMH....ya know like when the host and vendor are focusing on the details of the product and the Producer puts a pop up right over the product soliciting the Q Card or the TSV....or there's pop ups all over the screen and you cant see what they are talking about....or the hosts are out of control and the Producer is no where to be found..

I think Leah is one of the best host QVC's has!!! She's  professional, classy, calm, and does her product homework and is always well prepared!  Puts personality in her shows without acting silly like some hosts---  That's why AM Style is one of the few shows I enjoy watching these days....

 Yes, your explanation sounds  very plausible. For all we know , Shawn may have micromanaging  the entire shebang.

I think that perhaps Shawn's strong personality makes the Producers let her have control and they kick back....

Who thinks Leah would do a show from home crawling around on her closet floor?

@shaggygirl

I bet if she was confined to home isolation due to Covid exposure, yet was already scheduled to host shows and had to do them, she would.

You could always ask her on her FB page, rather than try to read her mind and guess what she would/would not do, if necessary.

I wouldn't insult her by asking if she'd even consider doing that. Surely she knows people think better of her than to even ask.

@Spurt   Twenty -five years of hosting should bring about a smoother transition of trying to hear the producer.  Leah has always been this way.  I like her very much, but I also clearly recognize this aspect of her hosting.  Yes, the producers in their ear seem to be very lacking sometimes.  Notwithstanding, Leah's one out of 23 hosts, and this stammering and laughing is a patented Leah trait.  But yes, noticing all that, I still find her wonderful and a true asset to QVC.  Just my opinion.
