Re: Law Enforcement

[ Edited ]

Tommaso had the misfortune of being thought of as being the last person to see Nancy alive. Last except for the kidnappers.

It has never been clarified who or how many family members brought her home.

Rumors about this man took off like wildfire, and I'm pointing the first finger at Banfield, followed closely by the panel from The Interview Room. Tommaso seemed to have been their weekly target in one episode. (And McDonough hasn't been served well with his tunnel vision in the past. There's a reason many in LE don't respect him. He has a reputation.)

Rumors swirling of gambling debts. Where's the proof? Over-extended mortgages? Source? There is a two person income for that mortgage. A Power of Attorney? Didn't that turn out to actually be Annie and only related to her house? A 10 million dollar life insurance policy. Seriously? On an 84 year old? And who would be the beneficiary? Oh, and her will. Well again no one know how it was written, and who would benefit but with an 84 year old would it not make sense to let nature take its course rather than risk a needle?

Fishing buddy with the sheriff. Again, where's the proof? More internet chatter. How about the one where he went to the Olympics? Or went to the Olympics with his son? Then went to the Olympics with his son and Annie? SMH.

Then there's the talk about how they haven't participated in any searching...that people know of. How could they without causing even more of an escalation of the media circus? Additionally, there may be security concerns.

And of course every step that was conducted to eliminate the family as suspects was taken by some as an affirmation of guilt. When does the madness stop?

Has there been one bit of evidence released that points in this man's direction? If not, and until there is, this family should be afforded some grace, some privacy, and be permitted to grieve the disappearance of a loved one.

I read that JLR Investigates and Brian Entin are leaving Tucson. That is very interesting.

Just a question, I heard front security door was locked, and wood 2nd door was locked also. I'm wondering if she was taken out front door because blood drops found, who Locked the doors ? Anyone hear theories about that ?

They're both already gone.

Interesting point, @Daludog  I hadn’t thought about the door‑locking angle. As far as I know, law enforcement has never confirmed whether the security door or the inner wooden door were locked after she was taken.

@manny2, agree. There is also no way of knowing if any of the doors were left unlocked before Nancy went to bed.

I guess prior to this abduction, some in the neighborhood locked doors, and some may not have.

Lots of theories, but until the investigation is completed questions will go unanswered.

Exploring with Jim.

I debated starting a new thread, but since this post concerns the Nancy Guthrie case, I didn't think those not following would be interested.

Those following and familiar with YouTuber Exploring with Jim, he announced today that he'll be making his fifth trip back to Tucson to search for Nancy. In past trips he's been out in the heat on motorcycle and on foot searching.

For those not familiar with him, here's some background. Jim is an older gentleman who seems to possess a sincere desire to locate Nancy.

His prior videos before these searches for Nancy were of his hiking and motorcycle rides, bringing viewers along for the ride. Then he decided to drive 1,000 miles using his past experiences to assist in locating Nancy.

He's not a YouTuber who ever filmed for profit. Not until about his third trip when he was urged to start monetizing to help defray his cost. He has stated the money is being invested in the search and will be used for gas, STARLINK because cell service is iffy, a second backup phone (nearly dropped and lost phone during one search), snake resistant hiking boots, an AirBnB, stuff like that.

Anyway, if people have been interested in following him, he stated he's returning next week, once personal business is sorted and hopefully the temperatures drop a little.

He sounds as if he'll be better organized, some new equipment and using real paper maps rather then small screens, and has grids he plans to check out.

I only wish for safety he searched with a second person. One who will actually assist and be a second pair of eyes.

I wish him nothing but the best and hope he accomplishes his goal.

Focus on the white vehicle that was seen on video footage at 2:38 am about 2 1/2 miles from Nancy’s home.

Pima County is looking for more video footage from residents.
Initially they did a 2 mile canvas of the area.

On Nancy Grace tonight a vacant home could have been where the suspect(s) stayed. Home was located behind Nancy’s home.

It chills me to think about Nancy Guthrie simply living her life, unaware that someone might have been watching her. She was in the place where she should have been safest, her own home, her own bed.

The idea that anyone could be observed like that, targeted like that, is the stuff nightmares are made of. It’s the kind of fear that shakes you because it violates something so basic: the right to feel safe.

My heart aches for her, and for the terror she faced. @RescueLover
