Deergirl, I think I understand what you are saying. The media does spend a lot more time on cases like these, rich and famous sells I guess. I agree it is not fair for all the "average cases".We live in a culture that’s obsessed with celebrities and sports figures. So when someone connected to that world goes missing, they are going to get the headline. It’s not about fairness, it’s about what the media knows will draw attention.
What's that old saying, something to the effect...'if it bleeds, it leads" might apply here!

I am thinking from what I have learned from watching the experts this was never a kidnapping just made to look like one.

I agree @Nancy Drew . Nothing about this lines up with a kidnapping. But if it was staged, the only unanswered piece is motive. Who benefits, and what would they gain. Until investigators release anything, that’s the only question left.

@manny2 100% agree with you. I still believe it was a family member otherwise someone would have come forward by now with some type of an agreement to get her back. Probably has something to do with the will.

You could be right, @Junebug54 this is a very odd case.

My heart goes out to the family. A person lives to be 84 and then snatched out of her home at night. Closure is needed.

You have to assume it has something to do with who she is. They must have known and for whatever reason must have taken her or broken in on her because of that.
Maybe it was money, or to cut a deal/trade for some political prisinor, bring attention to an issue, grievance or cause, etc. Maybe even a ranson or drug deal gone wrong and somebody wanted something back for her. As it goes on and on, lots of bad ideas swirl around when you contamplate it.
I just wonder if the family has some inkling they haven't talked about. . . So sad whatever the situation. And I haven't followed it in a week or so. Just my random thoughts.

Anything is possible, but not highly probable. If this were some political or international leverage situation, they would have made themselves visible by now. Those groups announce their motives immediately because visibility is the whole point.
This feels much closer to home, someone who knew her, knew her routine, and had a reason tied directly to her life, not a global cause.

Supposedly a 911 call around 10 pm last night..
Believe Annie Guthrie was on the scanner.
Through the cameras the suspects went in through the back. Cameras were working as soon as they got inside the cameras stopped working, unknown if they are still inside. Wants them to check interior if they’re able to.
Very strange and scary at the same time.
Don’t know if she was calling about her home or Nancy’s home.
Where did you hear this @RescueLover
