OK, thanks, @Daludog.  I haven't been able to watch that one yet.  I'll watch tomorrow morning.  I'm a super early riser.

I'm wondering if those following this senseless kidnapping watched the interview the local CBS Tucson channel had with the individual who was stopped and detained in the later towed Range Rover. His house was the one search by the FBI.

Not naming names.

I believe children benefit from learning about those different from themselves and their beliefs. Children who are overly sheltered, their lives controled are prime targets for cults

Too many parents never seem to realize that critical thinking is very important.

Just because there are many other religions and belief systems doesn't mean they are all "dark".

Yes learning about them is good . Didn't mean to sound so upset about their religion. Honestly I just don't like the guy. Dropping off mom and leaving in 2 minutes, Nancy taking an uber to their house, just shows no manners. They can try to explain it all they want. But she is 84 walks with a cane, and in bad health, I hope my kids show me more respect, even if I am independent.

Maybe Nancy didn't want their help. I know my mom never asked us kids for help even though she really needed it sometimes.  My mom told me more than once that she didn't want to be a burden for us. I never thought she was ever a burden and I told her so.

No one I know wants to be treated as incompetent, a child. Driven about, moved from their home, constantly reminded in big and small ways that they're old aka useless and worse, a burden.
