I hope and pray that the case will be solved in a timely manner, but my hope is fading.  I'm glad that Savannah is scheduled to return home to her husband and children.

I know that many people are criticizing local LE for their handling of the case, but I truly believe that they are as heartbroken as the Guthrie family that they haven't been able to find Nancy.

The situation in itself is beyond heartbreaking. An 84 year old woman sleeping in her bed with medical and mobility issues disappeared into the night without a trace. I can't imagine waking up to that horrendous figure standing above you..That would give anyone a heart attack. So many unanswered questions with no leads (that the public knows).

This is becoming a cold case. The house has been returned to the family. I can't imagine anyone would want to purchase this property with everything that has been publicized. Will they ever find Nancy?? I belive she is no longer with us. What a tragic way to perish. The family will never be the same without answers. It would just haunt you forever.

It's tragic that she was taken, but I'm dumbfounded that "someone" was able to get away with it!

There are cameras everywhere.  Satellite images.  DNA testing.  Neighbors with cameras, and what was recorded prior to the abduction.  Tip hotlines and rewards offered.

No Nancy.

What the heck?

@JeanLouiseFinch , relieved to hear that. I didn't catch it on the news this morning.

Thank you!

@SilleeMee I don't believe she died from t gunshot.  There would have been a lot more blood outside.  In the house.  While we have never been told what the inside of the house looked like, I do believe it would have been leaked by now if that happened.  Also, they would not consider it a kidnapping asking her to be returned at the start of tbis.

I feel for the family.  I think one day the case will be resolved.  The desert area is huge and she could be buried anywhere.

I am not sure how she returns to work after tnis.  Hopefully she will get the he!p she needs mentally.  She will have a " new normal " and it will not be easy.

@Dazlin - one of the streamers read it from another network so I'm thinking it's true but ya never know for sure until it actually happens.  Savannah has a husband and two kids who need her. If there are any major developments in the case she can get on plane and go back to Tucson as needed.

We watched a news segment a few nights ago about the case.

It was a retired Police Chief (woman) who gave her opinion on the case.

She said the way the gun was carried in the front of the body is very common in Mexico. It is called a Mexican Carry. She also said the Homeless population in that area is not seen during the day because they live in the desert behind those houses. They come out at night with backpacks and root through trash.

She said this has been going on for decades and the people are use to this happening in their neighborhood and accept it and live with it. She said some even keep food, clothing,  and items they think the homeless can use on the top of the trash so they don't root trough the trash.

This made me think it could be someone who was living in the desert behind Nancys house.

Sorry if this news interview was discussed here before.

New Ring video from neighbors 2.5 miles away from Nancy shows vehicles passing by. One vehicle of interest was spotted at 2:36 am. Which is an 8 minute drive from Nancy’s home.

I know there has been a lot of criticism about the Sheriff and the way the investigation has been going but I have to wonder if most people think the Sheriff himself is out there investigating?

It is almost a given that the information the Sheriff is receiving and sharing comes from those in the field, both his investigators and the FBI, not first hand, boots on the ground knowledge.  He has an obligation to be careful what is released to the public so as not to impede or jeopardize the investigation or alert the perpetrator(s) as to the true status of the investigation.  He is clearly not a great communicator and that, along with having to be so careful about what he says does not help his image.

We need to keep the following in mind:  The Pima County Sheriff's Department has approximately 600 sworn deputies and 872 civilian employees.  It serves a population of over 1 million people across an area of 9,189 square miles.

While I have little doubt the Guthrie case requires a high percentage of his time and attention he also has a large department to oversee that continues to serve the people of Pima County.  While it would be nice if he could devote 100% of his time and attention to the Guthrie case that would be a disservice to the remainder of the population.

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.

I have to wonder why any of the LE agencies haven't called upon reliable intuitive people.  The CIA uses them and gets their answers.  Locating Nancy would be better for the family.
