I'd like to know what Savannah and her siblings think about how this investigation was carried out.

From what I understand the DNA should have been handled by the FBI but the sheriff wanted to use the lab in Florida...so now the DNA is compromised and might not be usable by the FBI lab..big fail on the part of the sheriff.

@Mom2Dogs

I'm not following you here ... why would using another lab compromise the DNA?

Perhaps the sheriff was promised a very fast turnaround with the lab in FL.

@Tinkrbl44

From what I heard a DNA expert explain, doing the test uses up some of the sample.  If you have a small sample, one test might use it all up.  They were discussing the ability of the FBI lab to do more and run more sensitive tests.  But there might not be enough DNA for them to work with after the Florida lab does their tests. It all comes down to how much DNA you had to work with originally.

@Tinkrbl44  From the news report they said the sample going from lab to labe can comprimise the sample as well as how big the sample was to begin with...there might not be enough left to run DNA at the FBI lab.

I like Ashleigh Banfield even if it turned out she was a bit too eager to report what one of her sources said very early.

The fault appears to lie with the Sheriff, still it might have been too soon. The sheriff I mean is not a clear communicator. Which leaves me confused.

Something I still don't understand is exactly what they discussed the timeline is for the first night of the situation [although it really isn't my business to know.]

For me, the most alarming thing are the reports that are pure AI‼️ Facts that are not facts at all are being put out there as if the informer is reputable and they are not‼️

I would think that Savannah and family would be appreciative of all the work and attention that LE and the FBI have given this case.

I agree, or at least they darn well should be, even with the missteps.  This sounds harsh but there's another missing person in Tuscon since February 14th.  They need just as much attention as Nancy Guthrie but I have a feeling there are more LE and FBI assigned to the Guthrie case since it involves a celebrity and has national attention.  Just a guess.

ABC News is reporting that the Nest photo that shows the suspect without the backpack was taken the day before Nancy was abducted.

Jason Pack, a former FBI agent, told ABC News,

"The fact that there was preparation and planning, which makes it more of a sophisticated type of criminal activity than someone just showing up"

What does everyone think?  I don't think I'd call him sophisticated per se.   I also wonder why they're just saying this now and not when the pics were first released?
