Fox News home page(2/20): in her daughter's book..Nancy"played " along with staged kidnapping tradition...Some hide and seek game to play!!

I hope they find her and she's OK..if it was faked..the family needs to foot the bills for everything.

This was way too strange from the beginning.JMO

Considering the resources spent on this case - as opposed to almost all others, it does seem that the family (or any rich and famous familiy that gets this type of special treatment) should help offset costs, but I doubt that will ever happen.

I do not think there is anything that points to the family faking this. The book quote is being taken out of context, and it does not tell us anything about the case.

100% @manny2.  This is one I won't defend Megyn Kelly on.  The other day, she and others in SM were talking about it and I thought the same thing.  It was a fun family tradition of a game they played.  Nothing more.  I thought it was ridiculous to even be brought up at all.

QVC needs to be more cognizant about the types of accusations being spread on their forums.

That nothing other than Nancy was taken doesn't mean that the origional plan wasn't burglary.

Suppose they rang her door bell/knocked and when no one answered, assumed the residents were away. After entering they encountered Nancy, struggled with her and a quick escape became the new and only plan.

Nobody here started that rumor. It came from a headline, not from this board. QVC should not censor the forums because people are reacting to news coverage. Reasonable minds know how to disregard something that has no weight.

It doesn't seem to have been ransom as no real request has been made - unless it was and she's dead and they just gave up.

It doesn't seem to have been buglary because she couldn't have been that difficult to subdue and even if she was killed, items still could have been taken - and apparently none were.

So what does that leave - person or persons who have some sort of grievance and want to make the family suffer.

Someone who had a specific personal grievance and wanted to kill her.

Someone who is mentally ill.

Other?
