it is time that TMZ and the guy in charge there back off and just turn things over to the FBI . I heard he got another ransom note. Don't ask me where. I don't know. But even if there isn't a new ransom note, I think he just detracts from the real cause here. Not his career.

I don't believe that the FBI stopped following up on leads, just that they are no longer making public statements.  After Patel made his appearance, I doubt he would shut things down for his department and tell them to go home.

@cody2  - I totally agree that TMZ should be handing anything they receive over to FBI directly without publicizing it. That's what they should have been doing since they received the first ransom note. But, like everyone else, the lure of being in the middle of such a high profile case and the resulting ratings, is too hard to resist.

@JeanLouiseFinch

One of the Major news stations is going to interview the woman. I think her name is Lidia and the Telemundo anchor is going to be the interpreter.

I am confused. I was talking about Harvey Levin from TMZ. He is keeping himself all out there and calling attention to him.

@nambee Exactly. You said it much better than I did. Thank you!

    I also never believed that this was a kidnapping for ransom.

Since there was no reporting of signs of robbery or things missing, I don't believe that was the plan either.

  I think that it was a planned "disappearing" by a purely evil,

vengeful person who enjoys seeing people suffer, as Savannah

and her family have been suffering. I pray for this family.

 I think that Savannah, as a journalist was targeted. I hope that this crime will be solved.

I think it was someone obsessed with Savannah and knew they wouldn’t be able to get her attention.

So they kidnapped her Mother to get her attention.

@Enufstuff  I don't think it was a kidnapping/abduction/ burglary. I think it was a crime of revenge. I don't know why they would take an 84 year old woman who has health and mobility issues. I just thought it to be very odd but no one knows for sure.

@elated

That was my husband’s first thought when this crime had just happened ! Revenge!

He said who would kidnap an 84 woman with serious health issues other than for Revenge.
