The news has "backed off" that Nancy would die w/o her medications.

They're now saying she could live w/o, but it could be dangerous without.

Reporting death w/o meds made people think she was already dead, whereas, she might be very much alive.

@febe1  So the police intentionally lied at the first press conference?

As I recall on the family's first video, Savannah stated that her mom needed the medication every 24 hours.  So, it doesn't make sense what is being stated.

If I were in Savannah's situation, I might have exaggerated the need for the meds.

She takes several medications, and authorities are concerned she could die without them.

Of course, but she wanted to increase the sense of urgency to find her mother, @elated

Now the news says that the Sheriff says DNA found in the house was Not Nancy Gutherie's.

Also, the Swat team & another vehicle just  pulled out of the Police Lot again... News don't know if they're out to detain another person .

According to reports, Nancy Guthrie's health has been a serious concern due to her pacemaker's connection issues and the medications she relies on. The medications she takes are crucial for her heart health and stopping them abruptly would lead to serious health risk. This has been discussed with doctors on news reports.

LE has had days and days to solve this and nothing. Only recently have they searched the area for evidence.

Early on they decided it was a planned kidnapping, no matter that there was no ransom demand.

The video depicts someone unconcerned that a resident would become aware of their presence and call the police.

Apparently, it didn't occur to LE that he thought the house was vacant.

Okay, @elated. We are just not connecting. I realize Nancy has/had serious health issues.

Sometimes it is better to step back and admit we don’t have the same experience as the agencies that do this every day and learn from the best. The sheriff said on both fox and cnn he did not want to “split the evidence,” which is why he used the Florida lab.  The first evidence collected was sent before the FBI came into the case, so they did not have access to the Quantico lab at that time.

He then adds but if the FBI wants to retest they can. Are you kidding me retest why. There is a missing 84 year old woman. Use the best lab in the country.

@skatting44  This makes no sense.  Her house should have her DNA all over the place?

Source of this "news?"
