@cody2

I did not see it but you are good peeps.

If you felt it wasn't appropriate that's fine.

The news has "backed off" that Nancy would die w/o her medications.

They're now saying she could live w/o, but it could be dangerous without.

Reporting death w/o meds made people think she was already dead, whereas, she might be very much alive.

@febe1  So the police intentionally lied at the first press conference?

A reporter on Fox at the home had a conversation with Sheriff Nanos, audio is taped, Nanos said there was NO glove found in the home, they gathered some DNA but no glove found and collected. He also said there is no problem with his office and the FBI, they are both working side by side in the office, some things he disagrees with the FBI and vise versa. He said as far as the Fla. lab, they had already sent some evidence to them before the FBI came on the scene and he feels that he would like the evidence to go to one lab and not some here and some there. He did say that the FBI does have a better handle on the tech stuff he admits, so maybe that tech stuff is indeed going to Quatico but didnt say either way if that has been sent up there.

He said he has used the Fla. lab in many cases and has found no problem with them.

eta - he also spoke to reports wondering if he released the property too soon, he doesnt feel that is so, they got all that they needed, he was satisfied to release it.

He acknowledges that Quantico is the best forensic lab in the country, yet he still chose to send the glove to a private lab in Florida. It is disjointed and makes no logical sense. By bypassing the most advanced lab available, he set himself up for people to be leery of him.

Gosh, how smart could this person or persons be to stump the FBI and police?

How smart could he be, not to leave any information or clues?

I'm starting to get the feeling, like ID, this will be solved ten or more years in the future.

@SeaGal

I agree about Nanos.

He was not well known, the case was just breaking and above all the attention was strong due to the name.

He supposedly has an extensive background in criminal investigations but I don't live in AZ, I am not an insider, and posters learn as we go.

Nobody here really knew him except for maybe AZ posters so today, here and now, we have gloves and backpacks and videos and tents etc and nothing has been solved.

We can pick apart this case, speculate, arrive at personal conclusions but in the end this dear lady is still missing.

Maybe that is something the family told them in their panick as heart meds are pretty important to ward off arrythmias leading to heart attack, stroke and heart failure,

stress can bring on an arrythmia and you can only imagine what stress Nancy was under. If I was a family member I'd be freaking out if a loved went w/o those meds.

eta - (I heard she was also in alot of pain so needs her pain meds.)

When it comes to this case keep in mind that we don't know what we don't know.

@febe1

I was thinking the same thing.

I'm also wondering if they know (or strongly suspect) that Nancy is dead, but they are determined to catch these kidnapper(s), not just retrieve her body.

A higher reward will definitely be tempting ...

I just think that SOMEONE knows something .... a spouse or adult sibling or even a nosy neighbor.

(Mrs Kravitz on Bewitched comes to mind, LOL)

@SeaGal - I don't know about you, but I feel like the public has repeatedly been jerked around.  One dad ya hear one thing.  The next day it's a different story. 😵‍💫

As had been said before,  the public does not need to know everything and is not entitled to be informed of everything during an investigation.

Unfortunately, the proliferation of crime shows causes folks to think that everything must be disclosed to them so they can solve the crime.

If it would jeopardize the course of an investigation,  I don't need or want to know certain things.
