It was on the news today that the Guthries have hired a private investigator. It will be interesting to watch.

Actually, when you consider the cost of all the current law enforcement personnel involved in searching and investigating nonstop - as compared to the effort they dedicate to other missing person cases, if we are going to insist that high profile, rich people deserve more attention, maybe their paying for  at least a portion of it is not beyond reasonable.

@deepwaterdotter ......... but obviously too stupid to not be prepared for camera /cameras being outside the home. 🤦‍♀️

@tansy   I'm glad that's not a factor anymore.

Unfortunately I can see many innocent people will be accused and interrogated now that the photos are out.

@Estellee

Finding the suspect that actually committed the crime ... or talking to someone who KNOWS something that could be helpful is a trial-and-error process.

Innocent people are questioned all the time.  They survive ... and should be happy to help.

They need to find that dear lady, even if she is no longer alive.

@Tinkrbl44 The way the tips are coming in, it will be interesting to see who else is interrogated. Unfortunate but necessary I know.

Authorities have determined the backpack was purchased at Walmart.

I think that will help MAJOR if they can sort through who bought it !

@RescueLover  Hopefully it was purchased with a credit card, or another traceable method.

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it.
For example, I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

And if it was an in-store purchase, there are cameras at the registers. Fingers crossed.

Would be better if he ordered it online !

I think even if he paid cash they can look at store camera footage which is retained.

The one set back would be if he had received it from someone else.

Hoping if he got it from a goodwill store that someone would remember that transaction.
