Lasik eye surgery

Hi,

I know Lasik has been discussed on here before, but I wanted to inquire about something.

I am 47 and have worn glasses for 28+ years--- I am near sighted. I need to update my glasses to progressives & I have considered doing Lasik. I wonder if it's worth it because I will most likely need to wear readers once I have the eye surgery done.

Anyone have Lasik and then need to wear readers afterwards, and are you really okay w/ that?? I would love to hear of your experiences. Thanks!
