How many of you have been enraptured by this BBC series? I love it so much, and feel heartbroken that it's been abruptly discontinued.

I bought the book (which is actually three volumes in one), hoping to get some closure on various plotlines. It's wonderfully written, and presents a study of British life in the Cotswald area during a particular period of time.

But it coordinates with the TV series only vaguely. The same character names occasionally appear, but not usually in connection with any real plot.

So for those who might be seeking to learn more: there is nothing to be done about it. The series is over. . .

It brought me such pleasure while it lasted!
