This morning, with the TV on in the background, a commercial aired that contained the song Mr. Sandman. The song led to the thought of how nice it is that we have returned to a cycle of ads using music from the distant past, music with words that you can understand and not have your mother or grandmother be appalled about.
That led to questions. With the use of words that not too long ago were still considered unacceptable becoming more and more commonplace and constantly expanding when today's youngest generation is in their 30s and up what do you think it will be that they would not want their mother or grandmother to hear? Will the thought of a parent or grandparent being appalled about language be a thing of the past or will vulgarities even worse than today's be created?
