MAJOR plastic surgery!
From what I remember, Dr. Denese stated that her eyes were "droopy" and for that no skin care could erase or correct. They had to take skin from around her eyes to lift them.......only surgery could do that. I am sure we would do the same if we had the money or the will to correct that much droop around our eyes. So, it's all good.
Shell, what Dr. D said and what she did are two different things. Her face is as tight as a drum....

the investment can pay off: A 1999 study found that the use of celebrities in DRTV spots could result in a 20 percent lift in response rates. And celebrity partnership deals can be struck inexpensively if the brand uses a deferred payment structure. Companies often pay celebrities in equity and/or royalties on unit sales, avoiding up-front costs at the possible expense of long-term margins.

Is she a celebrity? The only people who know of her are the people who watched her here and now what's left of her "tribe".
there are different levels of "celebrity".....i may know a bunch of sports figures or local/regional celebrities who are celebrities that some may never have heard of before. she definitely had some recognition from outside of the qvc arena and it began when she won a beauty contest.
heck, i know cathy mitchell and would recognize her in an instant.....she surely is an infomercial "celebrity".......

all in all, i wish lisa much success and happiness in whatever she chooses to focus on!

Her eyes were "droopy" according to her so of course she needed more plastic surgery. That helps her to make millions of dollars selling products that will never make her customers look like her. And no, not all of us would opt for plastic surgery.

@lucymo wrote:I think Lisa quit QVC because she wanted to have a life while she was still young enough to enjoy it. She was always working or on an out of town gig for QVC so when did she have time for any kind of life outside work? Most of us don't like to work past five days a work because it cuts into our time off and can't enjoy anything else. I wish her success and happiness as I would anyone else.
I agree. Have you seen the pictures of her gorgeous home, not to mention all the places she's been visiting lately? California, New York, and Tennessee to spend time with her family.
Seems like she probably invested wisely when she was employed at QVC and is now able to enjoy life while doing things where she's the one calling the shots. Yeah, poor Lisa, lol!

I agree completely! She wanted a financial stake in GILI, because they were her "designs" after all. QVC said no, she threatened to walk, they still denied her demands. Essentially they called her bluff so she had no choice but to leave. It doesn't pay to be a prima dona.@sunchild How do you know this? Do yo have any documentation of this?
I'm sure she does Pearley. The only thing she left off was the last sentence--"And she climbed on the purple unicorn and they flew to the sun."
I said this is a different wording below. IMO she was paid the highest at the Q (as well as host DV), she wouldn't just leave. If she wanted time off to do things, she could have went part-time or had more vacations. I like Lisa, and she was a great host. I do not think she had wanted to really leave, or she would have had a plan. She is a very smart woman, and would had one imo. She wanted more, and they couldn't give it. I wish her well.
*All IMO*

Dr Denese's products are garbage. They do nothing and are so sticky. That said if I was Lisa I would do the infomercial. Why not? A couple hours of work for doing the same thing she did for 20. Easy Peasy.

What specifically did Lisa Robertson do to bring out such cattiness? Is it because she's beautiful, successful, witty, intelligent? What specific thing(s) did she do to make some so hateful? Did she launch a personal attack against someone when she was on Q? Are some in a position to know her personally and had some type of unpleasant dealings with her? What is it about her that brings out such vileness in some? Some of these posts are on par with the way very immature young women behave when they are extremely jealous of a girl and the only way they can deal with their jealousy is by being hateful to her.

@12andcounting. I don't find that Sad at all. She seems to be able to live a good life. I love my life but I don't get to go to all the exciting places Lisa does. We don't know what she hoped to do after qvc so maybe she's happy doing what she's doing. I hope so as I wish that for everyone.

@loverly No, none of the above. Sorry, you can't use the "jealousy card" for me. I thought she was very vain, not especially truthfull in her sales technique, and over the last tew years was only "going through the motions" at work. I also hated the way she'd repeat words three or four times to describe something. She was an intelligent woman who, IMO, shouldn't been more articulate in her presentations. If I heard the words "amazing" or "stunning" one more time I thought i'd scream. I stopped watching her shows. I thought she was quite fake.
