Another one of those drugs that does not treat what it sounds like it MIGHT treat. 
Who comes up with these names anyway?

I'm having a slow start this morning and I can't figure out what this medication sounds like it might treat. Please explain.

It's for bi-polar depression. I saw the TV ad for it just the other day and thought the name was stupid.

And you know, the sad thing is they probably paid some marketing firm big bucks to come up with that name... Just like ad agencies are paid huge amounts to come up with the insipid commercials we have foisted on us day in and day out... What a racket.

If it was spelled backwards, it would be a bit better. It's probably an acronym.

It's an atypical antipsychotice for schizophrenia and a new indication for bipolar depression. It has some ""issues"" side effect wise--to say the least.
