LARGEST CHRISTMAS MARKET IN EUROPE HAS OPENED

In the festive tradition of European Christmas markets, the biggest one so far has opened in Craiova, an historic city of about 300,000 in Romania.

On her Christmas show yesterday, Angel Smedley said she and her husband are leaving on a river cruise to visit Christmas markets in four European countries.

Sounded like the trip of a lifetime.

So pretty and magical!

That first picture reminds me of 34th st in "Balmore"(Baltimore)

and even though it doesn't have the steeple, all the houses are lit up for Christmas!

My sister took me there once

We did the Christmas River Cruise the last two years. The first was Netherlands & Belgium & we flew to Rome for New Years after the cruise. Last year we did Germany, Strausberg & Switzerland & after the cruise flew to Munich for New Years.

The Christmas markets are very crowded & very hard to get into stores or a place to eat. We went late in the season so I really wasn’t too interested in the markets other than seeing them. Strausberg was beautiful to see & Baden Baden had the nicest offerings.

I enjoyed the cruise & being with people who enjoy Christmas. The boat was decorated beautifully, and, all of the crew work hard to make everything a wonderful experience.
