Such remembrances are vitally important, especially with the anti-Semitism that has been building on campuses for at least the past few decades.  Many institutions of learning can't be relied upon to transmit this history and its ramifications.  Reminders like these might cause at least those of more inquisitive mind, to look into actual history for themselves.

I couldn't agree more!  It's disgraceful how some of the so called top universities have ignored this problem.  I just can't believe it...this makes me both angry and sad for our country.

Yes it's still taught in schools where it's not a forbidden topic. Let's also remember that some people want The Diary Of Anne Frank banned from schools.
