As long as I've been on this forum, comments like this never cease to amaze me. All the NYC experts who live nowhere near here and have probably never even visited. Or the one from last week who hasn't lived here in decades but knows everything going on.
You know what you don't see here, those of us from NYC casting aspersions on all the insane crimes going on in other cities all the time. I could name them, but I won't for the sake of decency.

Oh for the love of all that is holy, the Knick fans did not beat the teen into a coma. Most fans were joyful & celebrating. There are people who just attend large gatherings to create violence & destroy property & they probably were not Knick’s fans or even resided in NYC. There were probably thousands of people at watch parties, in bars or just wandering the streets just to be part of NY history. The violence involved very few. Read about Deindividuation for a clearer picture of the phenomena.

Every city that has a championship has the same things happening. I think you just hate the Knicks and New York. Congrats to the Knicks and their fans

It was very unfortunate, but there are bad sports fans everywhere, in every city....My husband and I watch the NBA and are big Basketball fans, and I have seen horrible things. This was very unfortunate and hopefully being dealt with.....
