I'm glad I'm not a New Yorker. Their behavior after the game was beyond shameful, it was criminal. If that's how they respond to winning, I can only imagine if they lost, and I will celebrate everytime they lose,

@occasionalrain   It will be hard, but we will try to live with your disdain.

Also pleased that they are not a New Yorker.

Don't have to sit next to them on the subway or jury duty.

@occasionalrain  Oh Please!

Every single city with a Finals game of any sport has had similar very unfortunate, ugly incidents.

You are generalizing Knicks Fans and NYC in a ridiculous manner.  Do you post this sentiment for every other incident in other cities when this happens? It's awful.

But it's in the extreme small number, considering all the other watch parties and thousands of groups around the entire five boroughs, including Manhattan, truly enjoying the celebrations in a joyous way.

My son and the doctors he works with have been to every watch party in NYC this playoff season.  Not one incident at the various places they've been.

But of course, paint the entire city with your brushstroke.

As long as I've been on this forum, comments like this never cease to amaze me.  All the NYC experts who live nowhere near here and have probably never even visited.  Or the one from last week who hasn't lived here in decades but knows everything going on.

You know what you don't see here, those of us from NYC casting aspersions on all the insane crimes going on in other cities all the time.  I could name them, but I won't for the sake of decency.

One can only inagine in what gated community with armed security this isolated, removed person resides.  Broad brush strokes indeed!

I have never seen a New Yorker denounce and belittle other cities here!

Seems bad behavior only occurs in NYC to some.

And of course their 'alien' elbowing other players and shoving them to the floor is exemplary behavior, especially the latter incident, which was never called by the referees and should have been.

Not to mention taunting a player who has been very upfront about his mental health with "I'm in your head" multiple times.   Very classy.

100% agree.  And you know why?  Because we live in the greatest city in the world (thanks Hamilton) and don't have the time to think about other cities, no less disparage.
