Kitchen Remodel Update - Coming into the home stretch! Yeah!

Just wanted to say I'm so glad I went forward with this contractor (although there were some stressful moments). They started the kitchen last Monday and I can't even begin to tell you how EXCELLENT their subs and employees are. The 1st crew came in an demo'd the whole kitchen, remove all appliances, etc. -- within an hour the next crew was here a wonderful exceptional cabinet person & helper.

On Wednesday they completed the cabinet portion and that afternoon the granite person came to measure and confirm my selection. (I just love that I selected pot drawers vs. cabinets with pull outs for my stove area everything is so neat and fits perfectly).

The plumber, electrician and tile guy came in on Thursday to see what had to be completed in that area.

Today they mounted the granite and sink. The whole process has been flawless and the kitchen is absolutely more beautiful than I could have imagined it. Best part so far is no additional costs and they cleaned up after every portion of the installation.

On Monday the electrician,plumber and tile person will come and complete the job.

At which time, I will take some updated pics and post. Will say I'm not the kind that likes to rough it and not handling having no water in the kitchen, yet, I'm dealing with it.

We've worked around this little inconvenience. Now, the funniest part (as this kitchen remodel started with a broken cabinet hinge) my husband is so thrilled with this contractor he wants him to remodel our bathroom === think we'll hold off on that for awhile.

But, now he wants a new light fixture over the kitchen table & a new kitchen table - yeah, coming out of the 1990's!!! ${#emotions_dlg.biggrin}$ ${#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}$

I had drawers installed throughout the kitchen, no more cabinets as I could only ever reach the first and second shelves. I was out of a kitchen for almost six months, imagine that, lol. Glad everything has worked out well.

Wow, good news! I read some of your threads earlier, and sat here wondering how you managed to deal with the frustration of how they were treating you.

Sounds like things are coming down the home stretch and working out.

God bless you must have had a pretty big kitchen but I'm sure in the end it was worth it. I'm not in any hurry to do anymore renovations for another year! Thanks for the good wishes!
