Some mothers don't protect their children from predators.

Even under their own roof.

(I am not carrying a pitchfork here, btw).

Someone  said, they saw a man give a  child, a peck on the lips, out in the open ,for all to see. That hardly constitutes a predator

I doubt it would stand in any court of law.  BTW  they have never come back to the thread

@fortune, how did you handle this time sensitive issue? It is obviously something that needs to be addressed immediately.

It's an inappropriate action on the part of an adult towards a child. Back in the day, many of us were afraid to speak up regarding inappropriateness from a neighbor or parent.... For the sake of this child it is better to err on the side of the child. Someone needs to be notified. I would think the parent of the child next door needs to be contacted. If someone was kissing my child on the lips, I would make sure I addressed it pronto and my child would never be permitted to go over to the house of the man who did this. It's just wrong. And if he is forgetting and doing this in public, who knows what is going on inside the house.

Many a predator has been seen by others as "harmless" before they are found to be otherwise.

There could be lots of reasons Fortune hasn't come back to the thread.  But that's really besides the point, I think.

There is no evidence that anything has been done to this child, except for what the OP saw

That isn't enough for me to  condemn him.

We're not in court, cherry.

Just expressing our opinions about this person's behavior.  Or really, about ANY person who behaves in this manner.

You could have fooled me. He has already been tried,  convicted, and  proven guilty, by many posting

O.K., well all I can tell you is what I've already said.

I think it's time for me to move on, given there is nothing more I have to say about this at this point in time.
