Reminds me of that Debbie Downer SNL skit, "whah-whah". Never miss an opportunity to spoil a good vibe.

I hadn't heard this before and it's inspirational. Just because it's been around awhile doesn't mean it never happened.

I thought it was such a nice post in the midst of all the garbage out there so thought I would share.

If it is anything other than a nice story, I apologize for posting.

Please do not apologize for this uplifting post. It's a wonderful story. Thank you for posting it. There are some stories out there that we don't know about. It's a reminder that there is hope. We need that.

Wish there were more people in this world like that.

What a nice thing to do!

Just because it's "been around for years" doesn't lessen its value.

Posters never cease to amaze here.

With all the bad stuff going on in this world today, its just nice to read an inspirational story about kindness ...who cares if its old its just nice to read an uplifting message...

I don't understand all the criticism @gizmogal is getting for simply pointing out that this is likely an urban legend. She said it was a nice, feel-good story and certainly did not chastise the OP for repeating it.
