Difficult things going on in the world now take a real toll on everyone.  It can be difficult to read/watch the news.

I just read the following post on FB that someone shared and it was such a kind and thougtful gesture:

"I just went to buy a Samsung washer and dryer from a guy, and he was asking $500. I told him I just had a kid and if he could take $400, I’d be really grateful. I got home, hooked everything up, and everything worked great. I opened up the dryer to check the lint filter and I was shocked my $400 was sitting in there. I got a message from him saying, 'Check the dryer. A gift for the new baby.' Man, words can't describe how grateful I am right now. 🥺I feel so blessed; I felt I had to share. Big shout out to David! Thank you so much!"

It is a nice story. Various versions are all over the Internet for 2-3 years. Some versions say the appliances cost $500, sometimes the story goes a little different because the appliances aren't by Samsung, or it was twins that were just born, but always the seller tucks the money somewhere the buyer can find it and wishes them well.

I'm sure this could really happen, or might have kind of happened in some way, but it is mostly a feel-good story no one seems to say happened to them or anyone they know. It's always sent around just like the OP, repeated from FB or IG or a Tweet, etc.

I like the whole idea of that much goodness in the world. But this is so much repeated, in so many platforms, in various versions, I don't think it is factual. But definitely feel-good.

Who cares if it has been around for years or the story changes.

@Mersha Re-read the post. The OP read it on FB, it didn't happen to her.

I have no idea if has been around before or not but just came through on FB.

I thought it was such a nice post in the midst of all the garbage out there so thought I would share.

If it is anything other than a nice story, I apologize for posting.
