@cjm61  The scientific study needs to be updated.  Does not work for pear shaped bodies.

I see 3 different size stretched vertical stripes - chest, abdomen & hips.

Assuming that the only way to look attractive is to appear taller and slimmer is pretty outdated thinking, in my opinion.

Wear whatever you like that makes you happy.

Agree 100%. Horizontal stripes are not a friend to anyone, just unappealing. My opinion!
