IMO Kim has to get rid of her horizontal stripes. They don't look good on her, the hosts or the models.

I agree. It's a rare person that would look good on.

Martha
Lawrence
Joan's rep
Anybody rep
Jennie Garth etc etc
They ALL have horizontal striped items.
Not just KG

I have her Stripes and the City sweater - several - it's one of my faves. And a couple of her striped sleeveless V-neck sweater tanks which are very cute.

I can't believe the outfit they have Jane Tracey wearing! No horizontal stripes for her please and certainly no tops that are just toooo long
I don't think she picked it out herself. She's not my favorite but I'm OK with her until "get multiples"

I'm not skinny--size L in D&C--but I have several tops that IMO make me look thin. They are narrow stripes in subtle colors. Got them from the now defunct and much missed Blair.
I think wide stripes in bold colors can be a problem.
As for JT in the striped henley, I think she looks fine and "thinner" than in some of the outfits she wears.

Talk to the French. They love a good horizontal stripe, simple in blue and white.
Yes, I do agree you have to be careful. Some of my favorite tops are horizontal stripes. I am not a fan of Kim's clothing, so I am not on board. The stripes on the button down that Jane was wearing was pooly designed.

Assume we're talking about this...
I love striped tops. I have both thin and wide stripe designs. They are a classic item I wear all year. I think this top looks nice. I like the two color design. I also like the solid cuffs and hem, but it's too long for me. I don't particularly like the Henley button placket. Hope those who buy, enjoy wearing it.

I know many people here are of the old school theories but, look up horizontal stripes.
"Surprisingly, yes, they make you look slimmer! While conventional fashion rules say horizontal stripes make you look wider, scientific studies (known as the Helmholtz illusion) show the opposite. Horizontal stripes often create an elongating, ladder-like effect that makes a figure appear taller and narrower than identical vertical stripes."

some people should avoid wearing them altogether.
