Hope their last name isn't Silver.

We've got a Wesley, a Camilla, a Rosaleigh and a Theora ( Yes, from the Max Headroom character )  In the extended family.

Better the Only Theora in the class than the tenth Bella.

@Daisy Sunflower   Is that the goofy actress that pre-chewed the kid's food when he was a baby?

I think there was a story about a few weeks ago about her co-sleeping with him.  He's 10 or 11.  She also bathed him until way past when she needed to.

If that kid doesn't  get beat up at school it will be a miracle.

Having worked in the public schools for 32 years, I have heard a lot of strange names. Various spellings of common names, made up names, names with apostrophes stuck in the middle,

girls given boys names, names that are not spelled phonetically

correct are some examples.

One girl was named Blue Rose. The best one, was a girl named

Shnell. Someone asked the girl if that was a family name. She replied, "Oh no, my Mother likes that perfume"! True story.

I have some grandchildren and great grandchildren with non traditional names. But, they are not names that they would be ridiculed for. My grand daughter's one year old is named Charlotte. Nice name, right? I just heard that they are calling her Charlie. That is too bad.

I think that some parents just want the most unique and unusual name. But, the poor child has to live with that .

It is too bad that some of these parents don't consider the teasing that their children may endure when they go to school. Kids are mean.

There was a period of time when parents were trying hard to see who could come up with the weirdest baby names; I am happy to see the more old-faishioned names coming back again. My two year old granddaughter has friends at her preschool  with names Ruby, Everly, Lola. and Bonnie. Hudson and Hank are the boys. I see their names on their cubbies when i pick her up.
