How have you been doing by the way? Medically?
Hi scottie
Well, they told me they didn't know if I would ever get my sight back, and that it would take six months to heal completely.
I got most of my sight back in three weeks, all of it a little later, and I'm doing amazingly well with recovery. Thank you for asking

Glad you're better Noel, I didn't know you were ill. Well that sounds stupid, of course I know you have health issues but did not know this bout with your vision happened. Take care and get well, weller, better.![]()

Thanks, PW
It was a surprise to me, too, LOL. I was in the hospital with it for five days in December.

Wow Noel. I haven't been around here much lately and I missed the fact that you were in the hospital. Great news that you are so much better now. Do you mind my asking what caused the vision problem? If you would rather not...I surely understand.

Hi cody
It was caused by a lupus attack. Very strong and very rare, according to the three specialists I had working on me at the time. I had no idea lupus could attack the eyes. I wore an eye patch for weeks. I didn't say anything about it but I had a sig line for Viewpoints, something like... someone asked me if I was a pirate and I said no, I'm beta testing google patch
Of course, it's always more than just the specific area under attack, it's always systemic, also.

You're right, you never know where or when it's going to strike. There isn't much research but some of us are doing what we can to get the message out there.
For 50 years there was only one medication for it, a form of quinine that seemed to help, but which many people could not take, including me. NOTHING else. They have a new med now but it's for crisis time. Actually, you can take one of two cancer drugs, but they also cause cancer.

Wow. That is so surprising. I think it seems to be becoming more common? The first time I heard of it I was a little girl and my aunt's friend had it. Never heard about it again until adulthood and now I hear about it much more frequently . Might be just perception but I do know it is a mean disease.
