Keurig issues when using filter

I have searched the web for this to no avail... I love my Keurig. I am on my 2nd one. The first one I had for YEARS but finally got rid of it because when I would brew using the filter (after a few years) it would only brew half a cup. When using any K-cups, it was always fine!

I'm now in my 2nd year of my new Keurig and it is happening again! Any idea why this would happen when using the filter instead of a K-cup? It only started happening after a few years with the 1st one and now after about a year with the 2nd one.

Help?!!
