Does anyone know what the flap is about? I've seen the commercial and I guess I agree that Kendall isn't going to solve the world's problems by handing a police officer a Pepsi, but I don't find anything offensive. Can anyone explain?

I saw it too and don't understand, but the fact that she's "devasted" about them shutting it down makes me laugh.

I do not understand it either. My hope is that the folks that jumped on Pepsi understood it.

I certainly don't know, but maybe she was "devestated" by the fact that so many people claim to be offended by the commercial.

They are apparently equating the commercial to the issue of police brutality in certain neighborhoods.Kendal offering the police officer a Pepsi is somehow seen as supporting their actions. I think everyone is overreacting here!

I think the flap is because they say in real protests no one is smilimg and passing around pop to lighten the mood.

I think Kendall was excited to work with Pepsi. I guess I'd be pretty upset if I thought I was doing a good thing and a wave of people came at me offended. She's still very young.
I think the police brutality angle is a real stretch ![]()

If the actress/model was 'Sally Brown from Omaha',
there wouldn't be hissy fits from absolutely no one.
There have been commercials like this in the past, with no issue.
It's j.u.s.t. the fact it's a family pop icon that people hate.
Can't imagine how people walk around hating someone's last name.
There have been some funny memes on Twitter, though.
This was all very orchestrated.
No surprises.

@sidsmom Awful. This young lady hasn't done anything to anyone, as far as I know. For the objection to be about her personally is sad and to have Pepsi pull the commercial because of it has to be devasting for KJ.

I thought it was a dumb commercial. I don't blame Jenner, but the whole concept of the ad was silly. We had riots last year near where I live; it was horrible and I think that's why some people were mad. As if the ad was down playing what people who went thru riots went thru and what the protestors went thru with the police and vice versa. It's also weird the whole commercial was shot in 'Bangkok although it looked like Some place in CA.
