I already think that Kate looks a little matronly much of the time.

Heaven help her style after the Queen gets involved in dictating it.

But Charles was never in love with her, so "hot" was something that they could never be.

LOL! Ordinary people think they have challenges dealing with their mothers in law!

I suspect that what really occurred got way overblown by the media. No doubt the true story is that there are certain formal expectations of the royal family in certain situations & Kate's being given that information so she can dress & behave accordingly. Protocol, as it were. Probably not any different than what every U.S. POTUS & FLOTUS are instructed about when they move into the White House.

Were her actions the result of jealousy or disdain and disapproval of Diana? She didn't like Diana. Diana was an embarrassment to her. Just because you dislike someone doesn't make you jealous of them.

I read Diana's problems were a result of her parents' unhappy marriage. Her childhood was far from happy.
