Regarding your lunch comment.

There was someone I was supposed to get together with to have lunch, but it never happened.

Here is the thing. I was going to give that person some business and a few referrals. I'm not going to do that now.

So if it is you, you cost yourself some money.

If it isn't you, you cost someone else some money.
