No, I'm somewhat interested but not that interested. Not emotionally invested.
So meh? I'm American, not British, therefore he wasn't addressing me. I think these things are interesting to observe from afar to a certain extent.

To be clear, I personally don't consider it an "error", at all-- to ask whether the title of Prince of Wales is automatic or not! So no one should "feel funny" about asking a perfectly reasonable question.
While not knowing reams about the British monarchy, I do happen to know that the bestowing of the title is discretionary. It's customary, I guess is the best way to put it, but not automatic, and the sovereign gets to say when it happens, and then there's customarily an investiture.
I vaguely remember reading that some wondered why Elizabeth waited as long as she did to bestow the title on Charles, even though he was still young.
I think it would be neat if William's investiture is done at Caernarfon Castle in Wales, like Charles was.

I like your phrase, @jackthebear -- "no gaps in coverage"! Exactly.

He created it today for William but the ceremony will be held after the coronation. King Charles did a wonderful job. He said a great deal when he mentioned Harry and Meghan building their lives overseas.

@Oznell - I was able to listen to most of it. I thought it was a good address to his people.
I did expect him to make William Prince of Wales. Our local news reported early this morning that their website had changed.
It was a nice mention of Harry and Meghan "overseas."
The one thing I think was not appropriate for this particular address was "I count on the loving help of my darling wife Camilla."
OK - I know I'm being picky here, but just IMO, he could have left out the "darling." We know how he feels. Because of the past history with Camilla, even though most have moved on from it, I think it would have been more appropriate for him to just say "wife." He already used "loving."
He is really besotted with Camilla. He always has been. And I can't help thinking two families were destroyed in the process. It will be hard for me to accept her as the Queen Consort. I see her as someone who cozied up to Diana when she knew Diana's husband was in love with her.

I thought these facts from a UK gov site clarify the responsibilities of the monarchy. It doesn't have political powers.
There was another site that stated: besides enormous impact, the Queen held no real political power in British government.
Perhaps because the monarchy isn't elected like political officials, it's seen as more stable.
As Head of State The King has to remain strictly neutral with respect to political matters.
By convention, The King does not vote or stand for election, however His Majesty does have important ceremonial and formal roles in relation to the government of the UK.
The formal phrase 'Crown in Parliament' is used to describe the British legislature, which consists of the Sovereign, the House of Lords and the House of Commons. The King's duties include opening each new session of Parliament, granting Royal Assent to legislation, and approving Orders and Proclamations through the Privy Council.
The King also has a special relationship with the Prime Minister, retaining the right to appoint and also meeting with him or her on a regular basis.

I did not see the speech. Reading through here it appears he did this with tenderness and respect.
I have no problem with his mention of Camilla the way he did. He loves her, always has.
No matter the titles, the pomp, the ceremonies, etc. -these are still real people with the same emotions, feelings, hopes, wishes, etc. the rest of us have.
Their family dynamics may be viewed with a higher perspective but they are still people.
The "overseas" remark - I see nothing odd nor underhanded; the funeral will not take place for 10 days so what will be, will be.
I wish King Charles III and Camilla as Queen Consort a continued life of happiness.
(I get lost with all the titles and locations lol).

Nothing wrong with his mentioning his wife in that way, he loves her and wants the public to know that and he wanted to recognize that she has been a great help to him. As he said they've been married for 17 years.
She is Queen Consort whether anyone likes it or not.

I agree @BoopOMatic he loves his wife. It's time to let go of the past. That was a long time ago.
I suspect if Diana was here today, and she faced her own demons. She would have said much the same.
