KEEPING IT IN PERSPECTIVE ...

[ Edited ]

This did it for me today .........  Heart

@kitcat51    All this time I thought you had 51 of them.

Honestly, it's hard to feel 'grateful', but because of those circumstances.

@kitcat51 I can do both and I do have a cat. Cat Happy  It's fine to do both - it's important to be aware of it all  - why ignore/downplay our own reality?

We are all suffering in one way or another.  Some more, some less.  You can inject all kinds of reasons.  At times it's very difficult for us to detract from our own pain to see others.

Just because people are facing challenges elsewhere doesn't mean the difficulties people face here aren't worthy of concern.

Re: KEEPING IT IN PRESPECTIVE ...

Well, yes, high gas prices are a high class problem for sure.

But we adapt. We slice and dice our budgets to buy it, or we drive less, or we ride share, or switch from steak to beans.

Change is constant and challenging for us all. And still, we can also hold in our thoughts those in fear for their lives, the ones in the next street and across the globe. I'm glad to notice that love and good wishes matter, and cost nothing, and never run short.

Re: KEEPING IT IN PERSPECTIVE ...

Our country is in chaos...but that doesn't mean we don't have compassion for others.  It is denigrating to make comments like...well at least we aren't that bad,  Yes, we are facing challenging times, we are strong and carry on doing our best and our hearts go out to out to others faced with loss and devastating challenges.  And, no, I am not grateful for the changes occurring in our country.  But, I am grateful for my family and respect the strength of human kind and it's ability to face difficulties and continue to have compassion..
