Tragic, especially for her daughter.  We never know what a person is dealing with in their personal lives.  The rich&famous are flesh and blood just like the rest of us and money and fame are definitely not "having it all".

It is very sad. I hope the person(s) who found them hanging will find peace as well. I can't imagine having gone through that part. @Witchy Woman

So sad for her husband and her daughter.   Not sure it is true but the NYT piece said she changed her name to Valentine because the couple had started a new label called Frances Valentine.

I'm sad about this - I love almost everything I've ever seen of hers. She was very talented.  May she R.I.P. now but I'll miss her creativity.

The suicide of anyone is very sad.  I feel so sorry for her family, and also the housekeeper who found her.   Finding someone who has hung themselves must leave a horrible image in the mind and it is something that will forever stay.  I feel very sorry for a 13 year old who has to live with this, because she may feel responsible, much like divorce  but much worse, and she will need a tremendous amount of support.  A terrible situation for all.
