Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis?

I always thought this was as serious as adult RA. I just learned my niece (my nephew's wife) was DX'ed when she was 14.

I was doing some reading about it today and it doesn't seem like it's as serious of a disease as RA.

I thought JRA turned into RA.

Any experience with this? Thanks
