I'm going to try not to utter one word of complaints. I may need to find duct tape to help me with this, but I'm going to try it. Some days I just don't want to hear myself complain about one thing. I think I can do this. LOL. So far so good, of course, I'm the only one up. The dog has gone back to bed. I think I'll read.

How do you bite your tongue and not complain? It's not every day, but I would like to stop what I do, do.

You're welcome. Some days you just have to bite your tongue, but that just hurts later. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I came across this in Proverbs yesterday. It made me laugh because it's so true.

""Those who control their tongue will have a long life;
opening your mouth can ruin everything.""

Proverbs 13:3

Count to 10 first! I had trouble with my son when he was little (in grade school) . He complained about everything. One day I was talking to a counselor who had seen many children. He told me.... "every time that my son complained , I was to tell him..."now you have to tell me something you like or something positive". When he had done that, I was told to ask him..."did you put that in your basket"? He had explained to him what that basket was (a place inside where only good things could be put).

An example would be....my son would say, "I can't stand this weather....it's raining and I can't go ride my bike"...... then I would say....."I want you to repeat after me...."tomorrow it's supposed to snow and we can build a snowman". He had to repeat that every time he complained. I have to admit.....it didn't work very well with him....because he repeated everything begrudgingly....but I must say....it helped me a heck of a lot.... so all was not in vain!!! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}
