If you're outside, for leisure, would you prefer to set in front of a stone fireplace or a campfire?  Which one are you?

Definitely a campfire - way less structured.

I would prefer to sit in front of a camp fire.

I would prefer to sit in front of a stone fireplace - curled up with a good book.

One major reason I prefer outdoor fireplaces over fire rings or fire pits is because of wind. With the slightest breeze the smoke will force you to keep moving around the fire. With an outdoor fireplace you normally don't have that problem - the chimney shields the wind from blowing any smoke.

Either one works for me ... means I'm outside. Smiley Happy

As long as I could go back inside to all the modern conveniences either one would be okay with me.

If I had to go into a tent it would be neither!

Stone fireplace. If I'm sitting by a campfire I'm in the middle of the woods and there are usually bugs around and I hate bugs. I don't seem to have bugs in my backyard fireplace.

@Goldengate8361 I've never sat in front of a fire outside.  At least a planned one. . .

I have never sat in front of a stone fireplace outdoors, but if smoke didn't blow like it does with a camp fire then I vote for that.

All summer long, my friends make a campfire every night and hang out. I have to stay inside because the smoke makes me cough really bad and then my chest hurts.  Inhaling that smoke can't be good for anyone.
