@minnie 50   I watched the video later after the live session was all over.  Jill threw out many options -- starting a Youtube channel, creating a website, starting a book club, cooking, make-up & skincare sessions, doing crafts (Philip Watson posted in the chat that he wants them to make wreaths together as one of her live sessions), etc. 

Are you saying she cannot do that and still be all about family?  By the way, Jill never said the reason she was leaving QVC was to stay at home to be with her family.  She said she is off to try new things, and one of the benefits of leaving QVC is that she will indeed be around her family more.  But she never said that was her sole reason for leaving.

Why do people begrudge someone's right to enjoy their life?  Jill doesn't owe anyone a reason for doing anything she chooses to do.

Frustrating, isn't it?  Now there are posters putting words in Jill's mouth.

I don't understand why they can't understand that she can be home and operate whatever venture she wants.  Aren't women deemed capable of doing both?

 How on earth can these things be mutually exclusive.  She's not driving to the QVC studios and staying for hours.  She can do something from home on her terms putting in whatever hours she desires.  Is it that complicated?

I guarantee now that the first posters who will bring up Jill going forward are not Jill's supporters, but those who will scrutinize and analyze every move she makes on social media and call her out.

@Diva on The Q  Agree!  I really don't know why people have to look into things that aren't there.  People did that where I use to work. If some decided to leave they would gossip about how she must of been fired even though they weren't escorted out the door.  I wish Jill the best.  Like she kept saying during her show "she had a great run"

I agree , i really see her as an average decorator , baker.  nothing exceptional.  Not sure what all the hipe is regarding her talents.

No, you didn’t miss anything.  She never said she was going to be “selling stuff”.  In fact, she said just the opposite.  She wants to be able to present her ideas without having to work them around a certain product.

The immediate assumption by many is that she wants to set up a money making business (presumably to compensate for her lost salary), but indeed, she never said that.

She has a new video on her new Facebook page explaining a variety of things she may explore, and also asking followers what they may like from her.

Could she at some point monetize her social media?  Sure, but that's not easy and is highly competitive.

I never got the impression that she planned on setting up an on-line shop.  That involves a whole host of problems, as you know, not the least of which is consuming her time.

I think that this new phase will evolve and even she doesn't know exactly where it will take her.

@geezerette.. I agree w/ u.. I thought she had a very nice video chat and appeared to be very humbled and touched by her Q fans..! It will be interesting to follow Jill and see how she navigates everything. Looking forward to it..

@chetmax   That's what I think too .   I feel she's thinks of herself as a Martha Stewart.   She's not,  I have a close friend who we all call MS cause she is exceptional in the areas if decor, cooking ,  baking. And entertaining.  Jill is average like most .  I don't really see where she gets the idea that she can have a career in any if these areas.   Maybe she can ,  who knows ,  Seems unlikely to me anyways.   It's always who you know and she has those connections now because of the Q.
