I just finished my taxes last night. How are you doing with this yearly task?

I just have to print out my copies.

We do ours as soon as we have all our necessary information. We use the HR Block web site - very simple, but then we only do a short form.

We take our stuff to the accountant as soon as we have it all...did this a few weeks ago. Our state refund has already been deposited!

My husband, a retired accounting professor, used to do our taxes. He was diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment a couple of years ago and realized that we needed to ship out our tax prep. We've been going to an accountant ever since. In fact, we now get a better refund than we ever got when my husband was doing our taxes.

I usually start working on it in February, but was late this year due to illness.  Finally got around to it in March.  I use the Tax Act website.

Our taxes are always complicated.  This year even more so with a major move/buying&selling a home.  We use an accountant.  Had them completed and sent out 2/28.  Still waiting for refund.

Used an accountant mid-March. What's a refund?

I file quarterly taxes. Got slammed with extra income this year. Getting ready right now to write out very large checks. Smiley Sad

Accountant, family friend with small business.  I hand over all records to her the first week in January and when she is ready we sign, and she electronically files. We get our refund within a few weeks,  Yes, REFUND because we are retired and we pretty much have a handle on our acounts and expenses.

I have a neighbor that spends weeks on his return.  For us it is worth the payment.  Besides she is much better than we could ever be.

I was afraid that we were going to have to file for an extension this year. I was waiting for one last form to come in for my father's estate. It didn't come in till near the end of March.  I couldn't file his taxes without it and we couldn't file ours (and my sister couldn't file hers) without his being done.

Our CPA was able to get my dads and ours finished and I was so relieved. My sister filed hers on Sunday.

My husband and I have already received our refunds from the IRS and the state.

Glad to to have all this done and especially my dad's.  it's nice to have his tax obligation finished.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?
